Exclusive to the British Museum, a 3D magnet inspired by the Museum’s iconic façade.

Crafted from resin with colour applied, this striking magnet depicts the British Museum entrance portico of eight Ionic columns topped by a triangular pediment. Below the façade is the British Museum logo in black lettering.

The front of the British Museum was designed by the architect Sir Robert Smirke (1780–1867) in 1823. Smirke designed the building in the Greek Revival style, which emulated classical Greek architecture. The sculpture in the pediment was carved by the artist Richard Westmacott and was added in 1851. The building was completed in 1852, using the latest technology: concrete floors, a cast-iron frame filled in with London stock brick, and Portland stone on the front layer of the building.
